I’m a JS programmer and this is my first game jam. I’ve tried to make a clone of the game Glitchy that I enjoyed so much when I was a kid, but unfortunately it turned out a bit buggy. This is my second attempt, and I think this time it will be better. As a JS developer and game programmer, I’m pretty comfortable with node and for now I’m trying to learn some other stuff like socket.io, but I’m sure I’ll be able to use it for my next james. Oh and sorry if the sound disappears for a few seconds (that was supposed to happen). This is my first game jam and I’m pretty excited to see that my baby is under the process of being released and that people are still playing my game (I’m getting a bit sad with it, so this is a bit of a good news for me). I’m a complete beginner in the world of programming, and I did my best to learn everything I needed to make this game but unfortunately I’m still not there yet. This is the reason why I did a 2nd attempt, to add new features and fixes. What I’m working on now is a new terrain generation system and maybe will add some other things such as bosses, enemies, etc.. and of course, many optimizations. I’m quite proud of what I did in this game, so this is my 2nd Game Jam Product and I was able to use everything I learned. I have contacted a few of my friends to help me fixing the few remaining bugs, and maybe will add some assets during my next week.
